Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Perform clinical duties efficiently under the direction of a physician. Knowledgeable of all procedures and proficient to answer general questions regarding GI issues. Responsibilities: * Interview patients to obtain medical information including chief complaint and measure their vital signs, weight, and height. * Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records. * Reconcile all patient medications * Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies. * Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. * Manage prescriptions and test results phone line to follow up with patients and physicians. Requirements: * Current MA certification or certified within 90 days of hire * CPR certification * Excellent computer skills, including utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) for all documentation * Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail * High level of personal accountability
