MAIN ROLE:
To achieve the best procurement for Bakersfield and Tulare, maintaining service and quality . Looking for new ideas and opportunities and communicating across relevant departments. The main interface between suppliers and the business on price and relationship. Role and Activity- Supplier negotiation.
- Agreeing and managing contracts
- Working with R&D team sourcing and costing materials for product briefs,
- Positive buying price variance
- Contracts database available.
- Check and sign off product costings that meet business needs of expected
- Stay committed to responsibilities from start to finish
- Make sound decisions and get into the right level of detail
- Apply resources to initiatives that add growth, improve efficiencies, or
- Strive to continuously improve and innovate to exceed expectations
- Value feedback from others and encourage open dialogue to understand how we
- Ensure decisions are based on what’s best for the whole business

- 3+ years of people‑management or team leadership experience
- Proven experience sourcing food ingredients and packaging materials
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., JDE)
- Professional certification: CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP
- Experience with cold‑chain logistics and shelf‑life‑sensitive materials
- Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives
- Experience supporting SQF, BRC, ISO, or FDA audits
