We are seeking experienced ICU RNs / critical care nurses (travel nurse, float pool) to provide exceptional care to ICU boarders in the PACU, with opportunities to float to the ED and other ICU/Stepdown units as needed. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19140 - Philadelphia nursing jobs, Pennsylvania travel nurse positions
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse)
• Unit: Float Pool - ICU boarders in PACU (critical care float pool)
• Shift: AM (07:00 - 19:30)
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (6/22/2026 - 9/20/2026)
• Unit Operating Hours: Monday 7am to Saturday 7pm (no Sundays)
• Number of Positions: 2

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ICU or relevant critical care specialty (ICU RN experience preferred)
• Additional professional education, training, or certifications may be required by specialty area or facility (e.g., ACLS as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for assigned patients under the direction of licensed physicians
• Provide direct care to ICU boarders in the PACU, including monitoring and managing critically ill patients
• Float to the Emergency Department (ED) for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units based on census and clinical need
• Collaborate closely with patients, families, interdisciplinary peers, and the healthcare team to coordinate care
• Direct and oversee nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with policies and standards
• Apply current nursing principles, theories, and evidence-based practices in daily critical care nursing responsibilities
