Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care for adult, med/surg patients with a variety of conditions, including complex acute illnesses and chronic conditions, within a Magnet-designated hospital. The primary shifts are 12-hour rotating days and nights, with some needs for night shifts, and require the ability to pass telemetry interpretation assessments.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: RN license required, BLS (American Heart Association) required, minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years, current experience starting IVs.
• Schedule: Day and night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting 11/30/2026 and ending 03/01/2027, with every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed.
• Additional Responsibilities: Managing varying patient conditions, including those with complex acute illnesses and chronic diagnoses under the Family Medicine service. Responsible for patient care involving telemetry, IV management, wound care, and other clinical procedures.
• Certifications/Qualifications: Must pass telemetry examination prior to clearance to start, with re-assessment if necessary, and meet specific proficiency criteria in cardiac rhythm recognition and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Additional Information: Experience with managing Department of Corrections patients and working in a secure, locked wing environment with DOC officers present is required. Travel compliance includes required floating per policy, with the local rule being a minimum of 50 miles from the facility.
