About the Opportunity

Our client is an established multi-state cannabis operator (MSO) experiencing continued growth and expanding its sales organization across Michigan. We're seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth, new account acquisition, and market expansion throughout the state. This is a highly visible leadership role for a sales professional who understands the cannabis market, knows how to build strong retail relationships, and can coach a team to consistently achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Account Executives, Account Managers, and Brand Ambassadors
• Develop and execute statewide sales strategies to drive revenue and market share
• Establish, monitor, and manage sales KPIs, quotas, and performance goals
• Coach team members on account growth, pipeline management, and new business development
• Drive new account acquisition and growth within existing retail partnerships
• Support key customer relationships and strategic accounts
• Oversee CRM usage, sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline management
• Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to execute market initiatives
• Ensure strong brand presentation and visual merchandising across retail partners
• Participate in vendor days, industry events, and other market activations
• Identify market trends and opportunities to support continued growth across Michigan

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of sales leadership experience , preferably in cannabis, CPG, craft beer, beverage, alcohol, or another relationship-driven industry
• Proven success leading and developing sales teams
• Strong understanding of territory management, sales pipelines, and revenue growth
• Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting
• Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing a statewide territory
• Strong retail, wholesale, or account management experience
• Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Michigan

Compensation

• $110k - $130k base salary
• Bonus/Commission based on achievement of sales quota
