Associate Program Manager | Kansas City National Security Campus The Tone: This is an entry-level role at the Kansas City National Security Campus, located in Kansas City, MO. KCNSC, managed by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, operates as a premier advanced manufacturing facility that develops trusted national security products and services. The organization, with nearly 7,000 employees, supports the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. This position is vital for supporting one or more weapon, product/service, or reimbursable programs, directly contributing to the safety, security, reliability, and effectiveness of our nation’s nuclear deterrent. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Location: In-person, Kansas City, MO Mission: Support one or more weapon, product/service, or reimbursable programs by performing routine program management functions. What You’ll Actually Do Program Management: Assist in the management of moderate to significantly complex program elements. Technical Solutions: Provide input for the review and execution of technical solutions. Project Planning: Participate in the development of cost and schedule frameworks for projects and program elements. Project Execution: Contribute to establishing production definitions, maintaining schedules, and managing engineering releases for weapon or reimbursable programs. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical, administrative, and logistical liaison with company, Department of Energy, design agencies, laboratories, and other government agencies. The Must-Haves Background: An entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s Degree. Experience: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Skills: United States Citizenship; Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance; Regular and reliable attendance; Adaptability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management.
