Job Summary:

The Cardiac Device Tech is responsible for independently managing and troubleshooting implanted cardiac devices within an outpatient clinic setting. This role supports cardiac patients through technical device management, ensuring optimal device function and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform detailed testing and programming of implanted cardiac devices such as pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and loop recorders.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and document device performance, making adjustments according to physicians' orders and clinical protocols.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients on device operation, maintenance, and post-procedure care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all procedures, device data, and patient interactions.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive cardiac patient care.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety and compliance standards regarding cardiac device management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold BLS certification and complete a pacemaker/ICD Technician program or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
  
  
• 
  Have recent EPIC system experience within the last two years.
  
  
• 
  Possess knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiovascular physiology, and device troubleshooting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate ability to work independently in a clinical environment.
  
  
• 
  Show strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
