If you have a strong background supporting young adults with disabilities and experience managing significant behavioral caseloads, an exciting contract opportunity awaits you near Arvada, CO. You’ll play a vital role in Transition Services, empowering students ages 18-21+ in school and community settings. This position runs from August 11 to May 21, 2027, offering a chance to profoundly impact students as they build skills for independence.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within school environments.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with severe behavioral needs.
• Preferred: Experience with significant or severe student caseloads and familiarity with communication devices (augmentative/alternative communication).
• A proven history of working with young adults with disabilities in community-based settings.
• Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and diapering as needed.
• Reliable transportation to ensure punctual arrival by 8:00am (public options such as bus or rideshare do not qualify).
• Ability to secure fingerprinting clearance upon offer; any misdemeanors or felonies are disqualifying.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct behavioral and instructional support to students in diverse community and classroom environments.
• Implement individualized programs and behavioral interventions.
• Utilize and support communication devices as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and transition specialists to meet each student’s unique needs.
• Support with personal care, including assistance with toileting/diapering tasks as needed.
