We are currently looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL!The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities, including start-up verifications, in-process checks, reviewing Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and related documentation, sampling, and inspecting finished products. This role covers a variety of products such as cannabis flower, cannabis oil, infused products (concentrates, capsules, lotions, tinctures, vapes, etc.), and food items (chocolates, gummies, lozenges, etc.). The Quality Control Specialist ensures that all products meet established specifications and maintain brand consistency. Additionally, this position assists in identifying potential quality risks and collaborates with operations teams to develop and implement improvement opportunities.Pay Rate: $18Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Performs finished product sampling and inspectionPerforms equipment and product line clearances before production runsPerforms in-process verifications to ensure product weights, correct labeling & packagingPerforms verifications on finished productsInspects retain samples and customer return samples, as deemed necessaryAssists in customer complaints and product investigations, helping to assess risk, identify root cause and quarantine productInspects packaged orders to ensure correct content and quantities, as deemed necessaryReviews in-process batch documentation to ensure real-time compliance to product specifications, good documentation practices and written policies/proceduresMonitors compliance to established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Foods guidanceConducts all duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOPs, and other applicable guidelinesMay require travel to other states or facilities to assist with inspections or quality issuesEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree, 1-3 years' experience or Associates Degree, 5+ years' experiencePrior experience in highly regulated industry. Highly desirable: healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods (food), cannabis.
