Denial Letter Specialist (Remote)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Florida)

Schedule

Candidates must be flexible to work one of the following schedules (EST):

• Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Additional flexibility may be required to support Central and Pacific Time Zone business needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Denial Letter Specialist to support the review, editing, and processing of member and provider communications. This role requires strong written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure accuracy and compliance in denial-related correspondence.

This is a fully remote position with potential for extension beyond six months and possible conversion to a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Process denial letters sent to members and providers.
• Review and edit correspondence for grammar, punctuation, clarity, and formatting.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to obtain corrections and updates to denial language.
• Ensure documentation meets established quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications to support daily operations and communication.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical professionals.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, private workspace.

Work Environment

• Fully remote position.
• Access to confidential and sensitive information may be required.
• Single monitor and connecting cables provided in addition to standard computer equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reviewing, editing, or processing healthcare-related correspondence or documentation.
• Previous experience working in a regulated environment with strict quality standards.
• Familiarity with member or provider communications is a plus.
