Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant K-12 charter school serving approximately 500 learners. This contract opportunity is available for the upcoming school year, with positions open for elementary and high school settings. You’ll be part of a dedicated team focused on empowering all students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with general education teachers and support staff.
• Adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners across elementary and high school levels.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of student progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Utilize appropriate technology and resources for both in-person and virtual instruction as required.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and school procedures, including up-to-date student records.

Qualifications:

• Valid NM PED licensure in Special Education required.
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in both elementary and high school settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and welcoming classroom for students with diverse learning needs.
• Must be able to complete a background check prior to start.

Additional Details:

• Full academic year contract: August 3 – May 29.
• 37.5 hours per week, assigned to either elementary or high school caseload.
• Virtual panel interview process scheduled promptly.
• Onboarding requires successful background check and signed contract prior to start.
