Registered Nurse IMC

Job Summary As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit, you will perform patient assessments, develop care plans, implement and evaluate care, and supervise non‑licensed personnel. Responsibilities Perform and document patient assessments at admission. Create and update a plan of care, including discharge plans, and evaluate effectiveness. Document nursing interventions and patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on care and treatments. Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy. Perform venipuncture and maintain IV fluids and IV medications. Review physician orders, ensure they are carried out and documented correctly, and notify other departments as needed. Provide accurate patient information reports to the Nurse Leader and incoming shift to ensure continuity of care. Requirements Experience 1 year of RN experience in a Med/Surg unit. 1 year of RN experience in a Stepdown Unit (preferred). Education Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred). License and Certifications Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Texas license within 90 days of hire if Compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. NIH Stroke Scale within 60 months of start date. Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, Trauma Care After Resuscitation, or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 60 months of start date.
