Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support daily site operations through clear communication, professionalism, and a people-first approach rooted in teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $25.37 / Hour Job Schedule Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thu 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity across the property, assisting with visitor directions, credential checks, and/or general support for daily operations. Document incidents, observations, and routine activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information with Allied Universal leadership and/or property contacts. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
