Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,135 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,415.12 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse — Location: Various sites in the Portland metropolitan area. This position involves floating between units based on departmental needs, providing critical emergency care to a diverse patient population. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to various clinical environments.

Job Details

• Position Description: ER RN will float between units as needed, providing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care setting.
• Required Qualifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; valid state license (compact license accepted); minimum of 2 years of ER-specific experience; at least 1 year of travel or agency experience preferred; experience with electronic charting using Epic system.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, stroke and STEMI certified facility, and familiarity with patient populations including medical/surgical, behavioral health, and trauma.
• Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for assignment; candidates may be required to float to sister facilities as part of department needs; travel rewards include potential incentives for floating to Seaside, hotel accommodations for consecutive shifts, and advanced notice for floating assignments.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility, providing location and dates; submit two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years prior to start.
