Lead Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Keep crew organized and productive Control the efficient operation of all production equipment by leading and organizing the team performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance. Serve as point of contact for management Assure the preventative maintenance program is conducted and report improvements or upgrades to our preventative maintenance schedule. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs promptly to minimize downtime. Inform the appropriate facility personnel/supervisor of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect the area of operation. Help crew effectively execute the following tasks: Observe all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment; report all injuries, accidents, and hazards immediately. Follow all established Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, including maintaining an orderly and clean work environment. Promote equipment safety and develop programs to respond to unexpected or emergencies. Read equipment manuals and other sources of information to assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment. Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectiveness. Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of leadership experience. General electrical and/or mechanical experience. Experience with multi‑layer extrusion equipment, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H). Experience with printing presses, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) brand. Experience with roll slitting machines, specifically Kampf and Deacro brands. Experience with wicketing machines, specifically LEMO brand. Experience with pouching machines, specifically Totani brand. Ability to operate Forklift, Scissor Lift and Articulating Boom Lift.
