We’re seeking a Senior Staff Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen global supplier partnerships, and ensure the scalability, resilience, and performance of the components that power our robotics platforms.This role blends strategic ownership with hands-on execution, giving you the opportunity to directly influence product outcomes, cost structures, and supply continuity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.**This is an onsite role in Waltham, MAWhat You’ll DoOwn and execute global commodity strategies for complex, high-impact categories across multiple robotics product linesTranslate market intelligence into action—anticipate cost trends, supply risks, and capacity constraints to guide sourcing decisionsServe as a trusted partner to engineering, manufacturing, planning, and quality, aligning procurement strategy with product and operational goalsLead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution, securing optimal value, quality, and long-term performanceDrive advanced cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to inform key business decisionsPartner cross-functionally on design-for-supply chain and make-vs-buy initiatives, influencing product architecture and scalabilitySupport new product introductions (NPIs) by ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of critical componentsIdentify and mitigate risks across the global supply base, including geopolitical, financial, capacity, and compliance factorsMonitor and elevate supplier performance through metrics, development plans, and corrective actionsMaintain integrity of procurement and ERP systems across complex sourcing structuresMentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performing, forward-thinking procurement organizationWhy This Role MattersYou’ll play a key role in ensuring that the precision components behind our robots—actuators, sensors, electronics, and motion systems—are sourced with speed, intelligence, and resilience. Your work will directly impact product performance, manufacturing scalability, and the company’s ability to innovate at pace.What You BringStrong experience in global sourcing, commodity strategy, and supplier managementBackground working with complex electromechanical or robotics components (e.g., actuators, sensors, machined parts, motion control systems)Expertise in cost modeling, negotiation strategy, and supplier economicsProven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholdersExperience managing supplier performance, escalations, and risk mitigationProficiency with ERP systems and procurement tools (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environmentsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s a plus)7+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity managementDemonstrated success in global supplier negotiations and multi-site operationsProfessional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP) or working conceptual knowledge is strongly preferred.This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact, highly visible role where your decisions directly shape the supply chain behind some of the most innovative robotics systems in the world.The base pay range for this position is between $116,479.00 to $192,887.54annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience.This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
