Position Overview:

eGastroMD is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Payroll Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position based in New York, NY, USA. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations. This individual will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for all employees, including calculating hours, wages, taxes, and deductions
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages
• Maintain and update payroll records and employee information
• Respond to employee inquiries and resolve any payroll-related issues
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements
• Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting
• Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information
• Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and employee information
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software; experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
