Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required, 1:6-7 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• Specialized ortho/neuro trauma unit caring for patients with severe bone, joint, and soft tissue injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and neurological trauma
• Epic electronic medical record system with Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive orientation including 12 hours unit-specific training and 16 hours organizational education
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and specialty services
• Contract length flexible; first-time travelers accepted
• Float requirement to similar units as needed; storm team participation required

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (within last 5 years)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic documentation experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in heparin drips, PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, IV starts, and phlebotomy
• Experience with dysrhythmia management, oxygen protocol, non-invasive airway management, traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, tracheostomy management, and wound care
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
