Special Needs Caregiver - In-Home Care for Children with Disabilities

BrightStar Care of Honolulu is looking for compassionate caregivers and CNAs to provide one-on-one in-home care for children with special needs through TRICARE. If you enjoy working with kids and want a role where every shift makes a difference, we want you on our team!

Your Role as a Caregiver / CNA for Children with Special Needs:
- Provide safe, structured care and companionship in the home
- Support children with developmental or behavioral disabilities (autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory differences, etc.)
- Assist with simple daily routines like snacks, hygiene prompts, and bedtime
- Join in activities such as games, crafts, shows, or short walks
- Keep the environment safe and follow family routines
- Provide shift notes that help families continue receiving TRICARE services

Who We're Looking For:
- Patient, dependable caregivers who enjoy working with children
- CNA certification a plus but not required
- Experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred (caregiving, childcare, school aide, youth programs, etc.)
- Must be 18+, with valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to pass background check & drug screening
- BLS certified (or willing to obtain before start)
