Intermediate Accountant

Salary: $70,000-$95,000 + Discretionary Bonus Our client, a Fortune 500 commercial property and casualty insurance company , is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join its growing accounting team. Why Join This Team as an Intermediate Accountant Fortune 500 organization with outstanding financial stability Small-company culture backed by a global organization with over 8,000 employees Supportive leadership team that values collaboration and employee development Opportunity to work on GAAP financial reporting, reinsurance accounting, and month-end close High-visibility role with opportunities to contribute process improvement initiatives Hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite, 1 remote day each week (Friday)) Competitive compensation and discretionary bonus Key Responsibilities For The Intermediate Accountant Prepare GAAP financial statements, reporting packages, journal entries, and supporting schedules Perform account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve reconciling items Handle reinsurance accounting, reporting, and reconciliations Prepare monthly and quarterly reinsurance bordereau for brokers Monitor cash settlements with profit centers and reinsurers Support month-end close while ensuring all reporting deadlines are met Assist with internal and external audits Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiencies Qualifications For The Intermediate Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience Strong financial reporting experience required Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles Experience working in a high-volume, transactional environment Experience supporting multiple entities or business units preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills PeopleSoft experience is a plus Property & Casualty insurance accounting experience is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment #INAUG2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr
