As a Project Accountant, you will monitor the progress of projects, investigate variances, approve expenses, and ensure project billings are issued to customers and payments are collected. What You’ll Do Maintain project-related records and effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing Review and maintain time sheets, invoices, expenses, and project related assets Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to leadership Prepare reports on project profitability Monitor and report on project budgets Create all project-related billings to customers Research and pursue opportunities for maximization of customer billing Confer with receivables staff regarding unpaid contract billings Respond to requests for more detail from customers Create and submit government reports and tax returns related to projects Compile information for internal and external auditors Perform other tasks as requested by leadership What You’ll Have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years’ experience in project accounting 3+ years’ experience in billing and receivables Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents What You’ll Get Benefit Package including Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage 401K w/ Company Match Voluntary Life & AD&D Insurance and Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Vacation/Sick Time and Paid Holidays Employee Discounts Weekly Payroll Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds Legal Stuff Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results Our Commitment to Opportunity This job description is subject to change at any time.
