: ( Brief description of overall responsibilities and function ) An associate buyer executes purchasing decisions and processes based on best interest of company. Associate buyer is responsible for administrative and procurement related tasks, with responsibility to commit company resources through purchase orders, contracts, and agreements (within delegated authority level) for procurement of goods and services. Associate buyer approves purchase orders within delegated authority, negotiates long term agreements, recommends supply chain improvements, and interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. Associate buyers work to remove costs and consolidate supplier requirements, supporting management and key stakeholders. Must possess a working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Associate buyers must be excellent team players, and, also, work well independently. They must possess strong communication skills, analytical abilities and work well under pressure. Must demonstrate ability to build team relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to execute timely resolution of issues and constraints as they arise, providing rapid response to internal customer via shorter turn-around time, reduction of process cycle times and cost savings. Continuously reviews opportunities to improve personal workflow and desk tasks. Self-motivated and achievement oriented; with ability to work under pressure and meet customer deadlines. 2.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

(Specifically describe the essential duties and responsibilities in order of estimated percentage of time that is spent on each). Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Reviews all purchase requisitions for completeness and initiates action to obtain requirements. Returns requisitions to users that require additional information or budget approval. 2. Monitors requisitions to identify commonly purchased items that would be candidates for volume agreements, LTAs or Price Agreements and makes recommendations to the purchasing manager. 3. Prepares RFQ’s and obtains quotations from qualified suppliers. Reviews bids, negotiates more favorable prices and terms, and selects suppliers within authorization limits. Negotiate contractual agreement with minimal supervision. 4. Provides high levels of customer service to both internal users and Italian headquarters, through communications concerning supplier delivery schedules, quality and service levels. Provides rapid response to internal customer and headquarters needs via shorter turnaround time on purchase orders by reducing process cycle time. 5. Minimizes purchase order discrepancies through coordination with accounting and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, shipping errors and hold code problems. 6. Assists with administration and development of contracts. Manages internal supply related issues related to production and product support. 7. Complies with all purchasing policies, procedures and processes. 8. Performs other duties and fulfils other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications for Position

: A. Education BA/BS in business, engineering or related area recommended. May substitute comparable/professional ability and experience for education. B. Experience Documented professional experience in a field that manages multiple stakeholders Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office – primarily Word and Excel Working knowledge and/or experience in maintaining positive supplier and peer relationships while stressing performance. C. Good understanding of aviation technology and regulations Time management skills Travel potential - 10% could include International as well. D.
