Social Media Manager (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

A client with Kforce in Mountain View, CA is looking for a Social Media Manager to support its Consumer Group Communications team and the client's brand's social media channels.Summary:The Social Media Manager will own the channel launch end-to-end: defining how the brand shows up in the world. As the primary on-camera talent, you'll be the recognizable face people associate with the brand - building trust and familiarity through consistent, authentic presence across formats. You'll conceive, shoot, and edit content yourself, moving quickly from idea to publish, while partnering with our agency team to scale production for bigger campaigns and higher-lift concepts.This role blends strategist and creator. You'll set the editorial vision and content calendar, but you'll also be the one on-camera bringing it to life, so you should be as comfortable pitching a content strategy in a room as you are hitting record. Success here means going from zero followers to a channel with real audience traction, a distinct creative voice, and a repeatable content system others can build on as the brand scales.Responsibilities:

• Partner with creative and strategy teams to ensure real-time insights influence content development, not just reporting or retrospectives
• Proactively identify and execute trendjacking opportunities, determining when and how the brand should participate in moments, memes, or conversations in a way that feels timely, authentic, and on-brand
• Own day-to-day social media engagement while also serving as a hands-on content creator, producing platform-native content across X, Reddit, Discord, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and emerging channels
• Concept, create, and publish short- and long-form content,including on-camera appearances, voiceovers, and reactive formats aligned to brand tone and cultural moments
• Develop and execute content strategies and editorial calendars, balancing planned campaigns with real-time and trend-driven opportunities

Skills

• Proven experience as a social media manager and/or content creator, with a strong portfolio of original, platform-native work
• Experience launching new brand social channels is a plus
• High proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.), or equivalent creative tools
• Experience with social media management tools for listening and engagement (e.g. Sprinklr, Plot, etc.)
• Comfortable and confident appearing on camera and directing self-shot or lo-fi content
• Exceptional copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone, humor, and messaging across platforms and formats, earning upvotes, likes, and replies
• Expertise in social media usage, channels, platforms, and community management best practices
• Strong understanding of social trends, internet culture, and audience behavior, with the ability to move quickly without sacrificing brand integrity
• Experience working within editorial calendars while remaining agile enough to respond to real-time moments

We are seeking a highly creative and culturally fluent Social Media Manager who blends real-time community engagement with hands-on content creation. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable being on-camera talent and producingplatform-native content as they are acting as the voice of the client, and inserting the brand into relevant social conversations.We're looking for a social-first storyteller and creator to launch and grow a new set of brand channels from the ground up. You'll be the founding voice and face of these channels, building the content strategy, the production engine, and the on-camera presence that brings the brand to life.The ideal candidate has a sharp pulse on culture, trends, and audience behavior, and knows how to translate cultural truths and tensions into quick, compelling creative briefs and social-first storytelling.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
