Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager- Talent Engagement & University Relations

In this onsite, United States-based role, you will lead the US Talent Engagement (TE) Center of Excellence with responsibility for brand, sourcing, and talent engagement. You will translate global Talent Acquisition strategy into local execution, strengthening talent pipelines, employer brand positioning, candidate engagement, and university relations partnerships. Role Overview Title: Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager- Talent Engagement & University Relations Location: San Diego, CA (onsite) Reports to: US TA leadership Scope: United States Role Type: Distributed CoE leadership focused on change and local adaptation Key Responsibilities Translate global Talent Engagement and sourcing strategies into US-specific talent strategies and workforce scenarios. Provide local talent risk insights, labor market intelligence, and scenario planning input. Serve as the US market voice within global CoE discussions and contribute to strategy shaping. Define and develop local sourcing strategy, target groups, and talent mapping. Build and optimize local talent pipelines and sourcing plans. Develop and drive candidate engagement strategies tailored to US market dynamics. Ensure pipeline strategy aligns with business demand planning. Design and deploy local talent programs, including early career initiatives. Build local talent communities and engagement programs. Manage stakeholder alignment to secure business ownership and participation in talent efforts. Adapt global frameworks to the local early career landscape and market conditions. Lead US university engagement strategy and partnerships. Build and maintain local academic partnerships and ecosystems. Manage events, programs, and engagement with target universities and talent networks. Provide local higher education insights and trends to global teams. Own the local Talent Marketing strategy for the US and guide communications teams on content creation and campaign execution. Ensure strong market positioning and candidate attraction in key talent segments. Act as a strategic partner to TA leadership, HR, and business stakeholders in the US. Lead a cross-functional distributed CoE team across talent marketing, sourcing, and engagement. Drive alignment between global, regional, and local stakeholders while ensuring execution excellence. Contribute to global change initiatives and maintain a continuous feedback loop to the global CoE. Embed global standards while enabling local differentiation and allocate work responsibilities to fit-for-purpose internal TA and partnership. Build and lead a high-performing US Talent Engagement team and ensure local execution excellence across brand, sourcing, and engagement. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business administration, or relevant work experience. 10-15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Engagement, or HR related roles. Experience working in complex stakeholder environments within large organizations. Demonstrated experience developing and leading programs, projects, or initiatives. Strong analytical capability using talent data, market insights, and scenario thinking. Evidence of effective stakeholder management and influencing across business and HR. Relationship building experience with universities, partners, and other stakeholders. Program and project leadership experience. Strong market orientation and external perspective. Ability to balance strategy and execution. Preferred Qualifications Experience in workforce planning, talent strategy, or talent engagement. Effectiveness of recruitment marketing campaigns. The current base annual salary range for this role is also described as $140,625-210,938 . Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities, and pay relative to other team members.
