About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical setting during overnight shifts
• Manage and monitor patients on Heparin and Insulin drips
• Perform IV insertions and maintain PICC lines
• Provide care and management for patients with tracheostomies
• Conduct and document NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 18 months of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency with tracheostomy care
• Experience with Heparin drips, Insulin drips, IV insertion, and PICC lines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience working in a high-acuity Medical Surgical environment
