Radiologic Technologist - Modified Barium Swallow Studies

Job Description

This is a specialized position for a Radiologic Technologist proficient in performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) independently in an acute care and rehabilitation setting. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and safe completion of imaging procedures, while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently without supervision.
• Maintain compliance with department protocols and safety regulations.
• Document patient information and procedures accurately using Meditech electronic medical records.
• Float to other units or facilities based on staffing needs.
• Participate in patient care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Schedule

Generally set schedule for 5 days per week, with a possibility of including 1 weekend day.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or rehabilitation hospital.
• Active State of Hawaii license in Radiologic Technology required before the start of the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
