Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role adapts daily responsibilities based on the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring flexible and responsive support. Essential Responsibilities: Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines. Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as necessary while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients. Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records. Observe and communicate any abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions. Support physicians during testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications. Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring patients are informed and consent is obtained for invasive procedures or immunizations. Distribute educational materials and assist patients in understanding treatment plans and medication usage. Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment. Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment. Education and Experience Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required. Work shift typically runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States. MLee Medical Employment
