Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Laminator Reel Operator for our client. This job involves rewinding laminated paper that exits the Laminator machine on to a roll. This position is also responsible for removing rolls of paper from the machine and auditing the paper’s thickness and moisture content.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Observes paper quality as it exits from the Laminator
• Handles roll of laminated paper as they exit the oven
• Monitors the roll size and changes the take-up roll using a splicing technique
• Inflates, deflates and handles the air bar on paper rolls
• Removes samples of laminated paper from completed rolls to check moisture content
• Communicate with the Laminator Operator if moisture levels are out of specification so modifications may be made
• Uses hoist to lift paper rolls off machine
• Notifies Stock Handlers of rolls to be moved
• Keep work areas clean and orderly in accordance with 5S standards
• Other duties as assigned

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of machine operation experience
• Prior printing experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong Mechanical aptitude
• High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
• Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
• Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team
• Sitting at workstation as little as 20% of work time, standing and walking as much as 80% depending on assignment.
• Ability to move or lift to 100 lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Communication skills
