Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Unit Information

This position is located in the Adult PACU unit. The unit features:

Number of Beds: 18 bays
Number of Staff: 25
Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 11 Registered Nurses, 1 Patient Care Technician
- Night Shift: 2 Registered Nurses (with plans to expand to 24/7 coverage)
Patient Ratios: 1:1 for the first 30 minutes or ICU level of care; 2:1 when stable. Minimum of 2 Registered Nurses required at all times when a patient is present.
Electronic Medical Record: Meditech Magic

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, your primary duties include:

Providing high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia.
Conducting assessments and monitoring patient status to ensure safe recovery.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
Managing pain and other symptoms effectively.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a PACU setting with ICU level of care competency.
Preferred Certifications: CPAN and TCAR.
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.

Schedule Details

This position requires availability for the following schedule:

Days: Sunday - Thursday
Hours: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
