Retail Cashier & Guest Experience Specialist

Summary The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions, managing the cash desk and supporting the sales floor to ensure an efficient and positive shopping experience. The role includes handling sales, returns and exchanges, performing register opening and closing procedures, and updating customer records. The Cashier adheres to company cash control procedures and assists store staff as needed. Responsibilities Handle all customer transactions including sales, returns and exchanges using cash, credit cards and travelers checks. Perform register opening and closing duties including making change, cash deposits, double counts and credit card batch outs. Maintain and replenish cash wrap supplies and ensure register funds are balanced. Update customer database with personal identification information and follow up with clients by phone regarding product searches and locations. Provide quality customer service on the sales floor and support store staff with gift wrapping, returns, tax-free processing and sensor removal/re-censoring. Requirements 1-3 years of experience in a cashier role in a retail environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent customer service orientation. Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with business management systems such as SAP or Oracle Retail X-store.
