Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact in early childhood education by supporting students as an Itinerant Pre-School Special Education Teacher. In this contract role, you’ll serve various sites throughout the Hanover region and areas in Adams County, fostering development and learning for preschool-aged children with diverse needs. This position is based out of a central location, providing both consistency and the variety of working across different educational environments.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Pennsylvania teaching certificate (must be submitted with resume)
• Background in special education, specifically working with preschool-aged children
• Experience supporting diverse learners in school or itinerant settings is strongly preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between assigned sites

Position Details and Responsibilities:

• Contract position running from July 1, 2026, through September 11, 2026, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Deliver specialized instruction to preschool students at multiple locations, adapting teaching approaches to individual needs
• Consult with Head Start, ECSE, and classroom staff to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Conduct observations, progress monitoring, and data collection in varied classroom settings
• Communicate regularly with families and other service providers about student progress
• Serve as an advocate and resource for inclusive practices across the region, based primarily at a designated hub while traveling as needed
