Compliance Officer

Compliance Officer - AFC & Home Help Agency Part-Time | Approximately 4-8 Hours/Week | $18.00/Hour Serenity Meadows Assisted Living LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Compliance Officer with knowledge of Adult Foster Care (AFC) homes and Home Help Agencies . This position will help establish, organize, and maintain compliance systems to ensure required documentation, records, and processes remain accurate, complete, and up to date. Key Responsibilities Maintain compliance with applicable AFC and Home Help Agency rules and regulations . Create and maintain organized compliance systems and tracking processes. Review employee, client, and home records to ensure required documents are complete and current. Conduct routine checks of homes to ensure documentation, safety requirements, and records are properly maintained. Monitor expiration dates and follow up on missing or outdated documents. Work closely with the Home Manager, Administrative Assistant, and Owner to address compliance needs. Complete compliance-related tasks that require on-site support or cannot be handled remotely. Communicate clearly and promptly regarding compliance concerns and required follow-ups. Identify gaps in documentation or processes and recommend improvements. Assist with audits, inspections, and other regulatory requirements as needed. Perform additional compliance and administrative tasks that help maintain efficient operations. Requirements Knowledge and experience with Adult Foster Care (AFC) regulations and Home Help Agency requirements . Strong organizational and documentation skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through on assigned tasks. Ability to work independently and manage compliance deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable conducting on-site home checks. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive records professionally. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a Compliance Officer, AFC Administrator, Home Manager, Licensing/Regulatory Specialist, or similar role . Experience preparing for or participating in AFC or Home Help Agency audits and inspections. Familiarity with Michigan AFC and Home Help Agency documentation and compliance requirements.
