Lead the U.S Tax Court's acquisition program, to include procuring supplies, equipment, services, and furnishings from government and non-government sources through new contracts, competitive bids, or existing government contracts.

Serve as the point of contact for Tax Court personnel regarding acquisitions and administrative matters affecting the procurement of supplies and services.

Research and evaluate vendors; prepare acquisition strategies, source selection plans, contract specifications and solicitations; ensure the availability of funds; obtain and review bids and proposals; and negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts.

Negotiate with vendors for the best price or value for contracted services and purchases.

Coordinate with selected vendors on supply and delivery of purchased items.

Communicate, evaluate, and monitor contract performance to ensure complete with contracted obligations; assist with clarifying contract requirements and resolving any conflicts.

Prepare purchase orders and enter obligations into the Court's accounting system.

Maintain detailed procurement files which are subject to audit.

Adhere to the Guide to Judiciary Policy and the Tax Court's internal policies, procedures, and control processes.

Develop U.S. Tax Court procurement and procedures.

Maintain FAC-C (Professional) or equivalent certification pursuant to the Judiciary guidelines.

Serve as Purchase Credit Card coordinator and perform related duties.

Coach and mentor Tax Court personnel that support procurement activities.

Reports to the Deputy Clerk for Administrative Services
