Operations ManagerNesco Resource is seeking an Operations Manager to join our client’s team located in New Haven County. We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing and supply chain operations for a well-established, highly technical manufacturer serving industries including Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and other advanced technology markets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven manufacturing leader who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment. This individual will bring strong problem-solving abilities, operational discipline, and a commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and employee development.ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day manufacturing operations across Production, Quality, Materials/Purchasing, Shipping, Tooling, Maintenance, and FacilitiesEstablish operational priorities, KPIs, and accountability systemsDrive improvements in throughput, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, setup time, and schedule attainmentImplement and strengthen Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiativesImprove workflow, manufacturing processes, inventory management, and facility utilizationDrive initiatives toward 99% on-time deliverySupport compliance with ISO and/or AS9100 quality standardsPartner with Quality leadership to improve KPIs, corrective actions, response times, and PPM performanceOversee production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performanceSupport cost-reduction and supply-chain optimization initiativesCoach and develop managers, supervisors, and production personnelPartner with Human Resources on hiring, workforce planning, employee development, and performance managementPromote a safe, professional, accountable, and collaborative manufacturing environmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline preferred10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within a technical manufacturing environmentMinimum 5 years of management experience leading cross-functional operations teamsStrong background in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvementExperience with ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIsWorking knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 quality systems preferredStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership abilitiesAbility to drive accountability and build high-performing teamsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and business reporting skills preferredAdditional InformationDirect hire with competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and vacation, tuition reimbursement and career growth opportunities.1st shift, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pmSalary range: $150K; may be willing to go higher for the right candidateMust pass drug and background screening
