Guide the Maintenance Manager on equipment condition and maintenance activities, providing technical direction and operational support for combustion turbine, steam turbine, and balance‑of‑plant systems as needed. Oversee plant logs, records, reporting, and compliance documentation to support accurate, timely documentation of operational and maintenance activities, and prepare reports for the owner and/or utility addressing operational performance, reliability, and alignment with applicable regulatory, company, and NERC requirements. Manage controlled operations documents, including manuals and procedures, by issuing, reviewing, and revising content regularly, and engaging staff to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain the Training Manual and lead training, skill development, and safety initiatives to ensure Operations and Maintenance personnel remain current on procedures, safety standards, and equipment handling in support of reliable, uninterrupted combined‑cycle plant operations. Ensure implementation of the water chemistry program, including sampling, inspections, inventory control, testing equipment, laboratory upkeep, and staff training, to support steam cycle reliability and equipment protection. Coordinate environmental activities across departments to ensure compliance with permits, NAES policies, work rules, and applicable regulations, while training Operations personnel and monitoring regulatory changes. Develop and manage contracts and work scopes for contractors to maximize efficiency and ensure adherence to operational, safety, and environmental standards. Foster morale and motivation among personnel by maintaining open communication, addressing concerns promptly, and encouraging constructive feedback.
