Performance of different tasks which include general maintenance and repair, plant operation and maintenance and preventive maintenance.Job Description:EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.HS Diploma or equivalent education/experienceCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:EPA universal CFC certification within 90 days (not required for SAFH Teamsters)TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:2 years recent relevant experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to organize/prioritize work.Employee must be able to read, write, and speak the English LanguageAdvanced knowledge of electrical theory and procedures for repairing and maintaining the systemAdvanced knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating control systems, including air balance and system calibration procedures for repair and maintenanceAdvanced knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and procedures for repair and maintenanceAdvanced knowledge of procedures, materials and tools used in commercial building remodels and cabinet construction.Advanced knowledge of uniform electrical and building codesConsiderable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and mechanical tradesThrough knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials used in the building trades.Ability to work well with others.Ability to inspect systems and buildings to detect existing or potential problems.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Ability to analyze situations and develop an effective course of action.Ability to perform arithmetic calculations as required by the job.Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.Continuing Education, keeps skill set current in the Facilities Maintenance by participating is self-study programs, and training made available by recognized groups in the trade such as Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE), ASHE, International Facility Management Association (IFMA), & Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).Job Shift: VariedSchedule: Full TimeShift Hours: 8Days of the Week: VariableWeekend Requirements: Rotating WeekendsBenefits: YesUnions: NoPosition Status: Non-ExemptWeekly Hours: 40Employee Status: RegularSutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $53.03 to $74.24 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
