As a new team member, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state of the art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world class, patient entered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening, select roles will begin as early as Summer 2026, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals. This immersive experience ensures you are fully prepared, aligned with our culture, and equipped with the highest standards of clinical excellence before the Frisco campus opens.

The Heart Hospital Frisco – 7600 Better Way, Frisco, TX 75033 • Department: Invasive Cardiology • Position: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist • Shift: Days: 7am - 5:30pm with rotating day off • Required Experience: Will train (Current CVIS/CVIT Students, Recent Grads and Rad Techs welcome to apply)

Preferred Experience: 2 years + Cath Lab or EP Lab • Orientation will be held at The Heart Hospital Plano location: 1100 Allied Drive, Plano, TX 75093

CVIS: Cath & EP Lab

Cases: Coronary- Cardiac catheterization, PCI, Impella/IABP, PFO/ASD, Cardiomems

Vascular- Peripheral angiogram and intervention, thrombectomy, fistulagram, EVAR, Limflow revascularization

EP- Ablation (afib, flutter, SVT, VT), device placement (pacemaker, defibrillator, CCM, loop recorder), LAAO, Remede Implant

On-Call: STEMI call required, approximately 7-8 days of call per month including one weekend. Holiday call required, rotates on an annual basis, at least one major (Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's) and one minor (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00-5:30pm, your day off will not be the same day each week

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, helps Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient's condition, and provides routine and emergency care during procedures. Contributes to the orientation and training of other team members. Helps in daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Helps Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, implantable cardiac defibrillators, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy.
• Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff. Provides emergency procedures like CPR and defibrillation as needed.
• Performs pre and post-procedure care and monitoring.
• Orients patients for catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.
• Answers related questions to make patient relaxed.
• Monitors patient's ECG, pressures, temperature and impendences while in Electrophysiology Lab; notifies physician of variances.
• Helps in running RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping, and records other procedural documentation.
• Manages and maintains images that may include stenosis testing, formatting and processing on both cardiac and peripheral cases.
• Helps in procedure rooms and collects registry and quality data on appropriate forms.
• Gathers catheterization data and prepares procedure reports.
• Prepares and maintains sterile fields for Lab procedures.
• Orders and maintains inventory of procedure room supplies.
• Ensures procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment has not expired.
• Coordinates and/or audits resources during yearly inventories.
• Performs routine calibration and maintenance of complex equipment; notifies appropriate team members for fixes.
• Help in the orientation and training of new staff and students or extra duties as established by supervisor/manager.
• Oversees some level of quality control monitoring, such as NPSG auditing, turnaround times, performance improvement initiatives. (Daily, monthly and/or quarterly).
• Participates in mutual governance, department, hospital, or professional organizations and committees. This includes LEAN initiatives, NOBLE, 5S projects, inter-departmental committees, professional organization participation, and QC assurance with managers.
• Oversees the committee as requested.
• Transports patients to and from procedural area.
• Demonstrates good customer service skills.

Key Success Factors:

• Education and/or Experience requirements (must meet one of the following): - Associate's degree in a related field, or - Completion of US military training program and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree, or - 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
• Must be available for On Call response requirements per facility/department policy.
• Knowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation and techniques.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
