We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team at Community Animal Hospital in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting our veterinarians and technicians, and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with medical procedures, surgeries, and instruments
- Prepare animals for exams and treatment, including restraint and grooming
- Administer medications and perform vaccinations
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
- Clean and disinfect treatment areas, equipment, and cages
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to develop and implement treatment plans
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management and veterinarians
