WhatYou'llDo

You will:

• Receiving

• • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, packing slips, or requisition todetermineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  
  
  

• • Marks materials with identifying information.

  
  
  

• • Opensbales, crates, and other containers.

  
  
  

• • Verifies and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

  
  
  

• • Drives equipment to transport items within the warehouse.

  
  
  

• • Usescomputerto enter records.

  
  
  

• • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

  
  
  

• Put away

• • Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predeterminedsequencesuch as size, style, or product code.

  
  
  

• • Sortsand stores stocked goods inwarehouse.

  
  
  

• • Marks materials with identifying information.

  
  
  

• • Weighs or counts items for distribution withinwarehouseto ensure conformance to company standards.

  
  
  

• Picking

• • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to customers and sales.

  
  
  

• • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets orshelves orconveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

  
  
  

• • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

  
  
  

• Packing

• • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition todetermineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  
  
  

• • Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.

  
  
  

• • Confirm tickets.

  
  
  

• • Usescomputerto enter records.

  
  
  

• Loading

• • Consolidatesfreight for shipping.

  
  
  

• • Loadstrucks for delivery to customers.

  
  
  

• Routing

• • Facilitatesand distributesshipping tickets

  
  
  

• • Verifiesshipping method

  
  
  

• • Managesdelayed release tickets

  
  
  

• • Communicatesoversize loads to freight carriers

  
  
  

• • Inspects andmaintainsprinting equipment

  
  
  

• • Ensuresshipping routes are maintained

  
  
  

• Pipe Yard

• • Receivepipe and conduit

  
  
  

• • Prepare pipe and conduit bundles for shipping orders

  
  
  

WhatYou'llBring

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or

• Three months or more related experience and/or training; or

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:

• Ability to:

• • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  
  
  

• • Writeroutine reports and correspondence.

  
  
  

• • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  
  
  

• • Compute rate, ratio, andpercent andto draw and interpret bar graphs.

  
  
  

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet

• Previousforklift/cherry picker experience

• Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)

Physical Demands:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

• Ability tofrequentlylift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to50lbs.

• Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.

• Continuous mental and visual alertness tomaintainsafety and achieve accuracy.

• Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.

• Occasionally,it mayberequiredto lift items greater than 50lbs. withassistance.
