Job Description
At Olsson, we help our clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes with ease. We ensure proactive compliance with key environmental laws, including the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. This includes the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Clean Water Act - Section 404/10, wetlands and natural resource field investigations, federal land special use permits (SF299), as well as local and state regulations, and USFWS Endangered Species Act consultation.
Join us and be part of a team that's making a real impact!

While we have active openings in Fayetteville, AR; Little Rock, AR; Lincoln, NE; Omaha, NE; Overland Park, KS; Oklahoma City, OK; Colorado Springs, CO; Loveland, CO; and Denver, CO, we welcome candidates interested in other locations as well.
Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead permitting efforts at federal, state, and local levels; provide technical oversight and review deliverables
- Interpret regulations to inform project design and identify strategic permitting pathways
- Coordinate permit applications and project tasks to meet deadlines
- Manage projects and teams, ensuring effective communication and day-to-day oversight
- Present to small and large groups including regulators and members of the public

- Bachelor's degree in planning, biology, ecology, soils, environmental science, environmental policy, natural resource management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in NEPA, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Hands-on experience in interpreting site plans, topographic maps, aerial photographs, and various mapping resources
- Self-direction and dependability, with strong follow-through on deadlines and deliverables
- Skilled in clearly communicating findings and producing high-quality written deliverables, including reports, memos, and documentation
- Aptitude for approaching challenges with curiosity and a solutions-oriented focus
