Job Description:\n\nDescription:\nThe Co-Leads of Behavior Support Services jointly oversee the operation, quality, \ncompliance, and continuity of the Behavior Support Services program. Together, they \ndirect the development and implementation of individualized Behavior Support Plans \nthat reflect the needs, preferences, family circumstances, and daily activities of each \nindividual served. The Co-Leads collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, \nsupervise and mentor Behavior Clinicians, maintain a reduced clinical caseload, and \nensure services are delivered in accordance with applicable requirements, agency \npolicies, approved plans, and professional best practices.\n\nCo-Leadership Accountability\n\n• The Co-Leads work collaboratively and share responsibility for the overall \nperformance, quality, compliance, and continuity of the program.\n• Each Co-Lead remains individually accountable for assigned responsibilities, timely \ncompletion of work, accurate documentation, communication of concerns, and \nappropriate follow-through.\n• Work assignments may be divided based on program needs, expertise, geographic \ncoverage, workload, or direction from the supervising Director.\n• Matters that cannot be resolved collaboratively, or that present a compliance, safety, \npersonnel, rights, or service-delivery risk, must be promptly elevated to the \nsupervising Director.\n\nProgram Leadership and Staff Management\n\n• Jointly provide day-to-day supervision, leadership, coaching, and formal work \ndirection to assigned Behavior Clinicians.\n• Assign, coordinate, and review work to support equitable workload distribution, \ntimely service delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuity of operations.\n• Hold assigned staff accountable for quality standards, commitments, deadlines, \ndocumentation requirements, billing expectations, and internal and external service \nexpectations.\n• Review and approve employee timesheets, leave requests, schedules, and other \nsupervisory documentation, as assigned by the supervising Director.\n• Coach and develop Behavior Clinicians; complete 90-day and annual evaluations; \nprovide constructive feedback; and establish follow-up expectations when \nimprovement is needed.\n• Review resumes, participate in interviews, and contribute to hiring decisions for \nBehavior Clinicians.\n• Address performance, conduct, documentation, or service-delivery concerns in \ncollaboration with the other Co-Lead, supervising Director, and Human Resources, \nas appropriate.\n• Provide coaching, corrective instruction, retraining, or disciplinary action consistent \nwith agency policy and assigned authority.\n• Provide assistance during staff absences, vacancies, and crisis situations; act as a \nliaison between departments as needed.\n• Maintain regular communication and on-site support to Behavior Clinicians, \nDirectors, and support staff.\n\nClinical Planning and Service Implementation\n\n• Collaborate with individuals served, families, support staff, and interdisciplinary \nteam members to identify skill-development and behavioral-support needs.\n• Conduct Functional Behavior Analyses and develop individualized Behavior Support \nPlans, consultative plans, crisis intervention plans, and data-collection systems.\n• Design proactive, replacement, and reactive strategies responsive to the individual \nserved, family needs, and daily activities.\n• Monitor plans and service delivery to ensure they address identified needs and are \nimplemented as written; review and modify plans at least annually or more frequently \nwhen indicated.\n• Adapt plans based on data, observations, individual needs, team recommendations, \nand changes in circumstances.\n• Review data collection, prepare quarterly behavior reports for team meetings, \nidentify trends, and recommend changes.\n• Provide consultation to individuals served, families, providers, and support teams \nregarding behavior-support techniques.\n\nCaseload Responsibilities\n\n• Maintain a caseload of individuals served that is intentionally smaller than a Behavior \nClinician caseload to allow for leadership, supervisory, quality, compliance, and \nadministrative responsibilities.\n• Provide direct behavior-support services, including assessment, plan development, \nmonitoring, documentation, data review, and family or provider consultation.\n• Ensure high-quality and timely service delivery while balancing clinical, supervisory, \nleadership, and administrative responsibilities.\n• Provide on-site support, training, technical assistance, and guidance to individuals \nserved and their support teams.\n\nTraining, Coaching, and Competency Development\n\n• Design, coordinate, and deliver training related to Behavior Support Plans, behaviorsupport strategies, crisis response, progress monitoring, documentation, and data \ncollection.\n• Apply adult-learning and instructional-design practices to provide training that is \nunderstandable, relevant, accessible, and responsive to varied learning and \ncommunication needs.\n• Conduct competency-based classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training to teach and \ndemonstrate required principles, procedures, and behavior-support practices.\n• Evaluate participant understanding, competency, and application of training content; \nmodify content, coaching, or delivery methods based on results and program needs.\n• Provide follow-up observation, coaching, technical assistance, or retraining when \nstaff performance or data indicates additional support is needed.\n• Maintain or coordinate documentation of training completion, demonstrated \ncompetency, retraining, and follow-up activities.\n• Communicate incomplete, unsuccessful, or overdue training and identified \ncompetency risks to the appropriate leader and support corrective-action planning.\n\nAdvocacy and Interdisciplinary Collaboration\n\n• Serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team and attend quarterly, emergency, \nand other required meetings.\n• Maintain open and professional communication with individuals served, families, \ncare providers, support staff, administrators, funding sources, service providers, \nstate and federal agencies, and community partners.\n• Coordinate activities, resolve concerns within assigned authority, and elevate \nunresolved or significant issues to appropriate leadership.\n• Provide disability-awareness and behavior-support education as appropriate.\n• Review and process documents submitted to the Human Rights Committee, ensure \nrequired documentation is complete, and upload approvals into approved systems.\n\nQuality Assurance, Compliance, and Documentation\n\n• Monitor compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, funding-source \nexpectations, accreditation standards, agency policies, approved Behavior Support \nPlans, documentation standards, and required timelines.\n• Review Behavior Clinician FBA and BSP submissions for quality, completeness, \ncompliance, and timeliness.\n• Oversee completion and uploading of required documentation into approved \nelectronic systems.\n• Maintain accurate and timely service documentation, data, reports, time records, \nand billing records.\n• Identify incomplete, inaccurate, expired, overdue, or noncompliant documentation \nand communicate deficiencies to the responsible employee and appropriate \nleadership.\n• Follow escalation procedures when identified deficiencies are not corrected within \nrequired timeframes or when a concern presents potential risk to an individual \nserved, employee, program, or the agency.\n• Support the development, implementation, documentation, monitoring, and followup of corrective-action plans.\n• Maintain awareness of regulatory, funding, accreditation, and agency-policy changes \naffecting Behavior Support Services and recommend updates to procedures, training, \ndocumentation, and service practices.\n• Promptly report suspected rights violations, health or safety concerns, billing or \ndocumentation irregularities, and other significant compliance risks through \nestablished agency channels.\n• Assess satisfaction of individuals served and their families and use feedback to \nsupport service improvement.\n\nData, Outcomes, and Continuous Improvement\n\n• Conduct or coordinate periodic quality-assurance reviews to evaluate whether \nservices are delivered consistently with approved plans, agency policies, \ndocumentation standards, regulatory requirements, and program expectations.\n• Develop, monitor, and communicate assigned program metrics, which may include \nservice timeliness, documentation completion, plan-review timelines, training and \ncompetency completion, caseload indicators, service utilization, HRC submission \nstatus, identified trends, and corrective-action progress.\n• Analyze program and service data to identify patterns, risks, training needs, resource \nneeds, and opportunities for improvement.\n• Recommend and implement reasonable improvement strategies in collaboration \nwith the other Co-Lead and supervising Director.\n• Monitor agreed-upon improvement targets and communicate progress, barriers, and \nunresolved concerns to the supervising Director.\n• Solicit and consider feedback from individuals served, families, employees, \nproviders, and interdisciplinary team members when evaluating service quality and \nprogram improvement needs.\n\nConfidentiality and Records Management\n\n• Safeguard confidential clinical, health, behavioral, personnel, investigation, incident, \nfunding, and service information in accordance with agency policy, applicable law, \nretention requirements, and authorized-access standards.\n• Exercise sound professional judgment when communicating sensitive information \nand share information only with individuals who have an authorized business or \nservice-related need to receive it.\n• Maintain confidentiality when providing supervision, conducting performance \ndiscussions, reviewing clinical records, participating in interdisciplinary meetings, \nand responding to concerns involving individuals served, families, or employees.\n\nContinuity, Coverage, and Cross-Training\n\n• Develop and maintain written procedures, work-allocation practices, cross-training \nplans, and coverage arrangements to support continuity of critical program \nfunctions.\n• Maintain sufficient shared documentation and communication so either Co-Lead can \nrespond appropriately to urgent matters, employee absences, service interruptions, \nleadership absences, or changes in assigned responsibilities.\n• Coordinate planned and unplanned coverage for vacancies, employee absences, \nurgent clinical needs, and time-sensitive documentation or compliance obligations.\n• Communicate planned responsibilities, coverage arrangements, unresolved matters, \nand priority concerns to the other Co-Lead and supervising Director.\n\nCulture Leadership and Team Accountability\n\n• Serve as a visible culture leader by consistently modeling Sycamore Services' \nmission, values, expected leadership behaviors, and standards of professionalism in \ndecisions, communication, supervision, and service delivery.\n• Integrate the agency's mission and values into staff meetings, training, coaching, \nperformance feedback, recognition, problem solving, and day-to-day team practices.\n• Provide clear guidance to employees regarding expected workplace behaviors and \nhold team members accountable for conduct and performance that support a \nrespectful, inclusive, collaborative, and service-focused culture.\n• Create an environment in which employees are encouraged to communicate openly, \nraise concerns, learn from mistakes, contribute ideas, and participate in continuous \nimprovement\n• Recognize and reinforce behaviors that demonstrate the agency's values, strengthen \nteamwork, support employee engagement, and improve outcomes for individuals \nserved.\n• Address behaviors that are inconsistent with agency values or team expectations \npromptly, constructively, consistently, and in coordination with the other Co-Lead, \nsupervising Director, and Human Resources, as appropriate.\n• Coach Behavior Clinicians and other team members in applying agency values to \ninteractions with individuals served, families, coworkers, providers, and community \npartners.\n• Support organizational culture-building, leadership-development, employeeengagement, and values-integration initiatives and communicate relevant \nexpectations and updates to the team.\n• Work collaboratively with the other Co-Lead to ensure employees receive consistent \ncultural expectations, guidance, feedback, recognition, and accountability.\n\nSycamore Services Team Responsibilities\n\n• Promote and uphold the agency mission, values, policies, and commitment to quality \nservices.\n• Foster teamwork through mutual respect, shared accountability, problem solving, \nand assistance to coworkers as needed.\n• Work effectively with a variety of individuals in office, community, residential, \nemployment, educational, and other service settings.\n• Maintain a flexible schedule based on program, training, crisis-response, employee, \nand individual-service needs.\n• Complete other projects and duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\nEducation and Experience:\n\n Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, another applied healthservice area of Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Counseling, or another field that meets applicable requirements for the delivery of Behavior Support Services. \n Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and monitoring Behavior Support Plans is required. \n Prior experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, or providing formal \n work direction to clinical or behavior-support personnel is required. \n Experience overseeing a regulated human-services program, monitoring documentation and service \n compliance, conducting quality reviews, and leading staff training is strongly preferred.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:\n• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, monitor, and revise Behavior Support \nPlans and related data-collection systems.\n• Strong leadership, supervision, mentoring, coaching, and staff-development skills.\n• Ability to work effectively within a co-leadership model through shared planning, \ntransparent communication, coordinated decision-making, respectful disagreement, \nand timely escalation of unresolved concerns.\n• Ability to hold employees accountable for quality, deadlines, documentation, service \nexpectations, and compliance requirements.\n• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and group-facilitation skills.\n• Strong judgment, organization, time management, decision-making, and problemsolving skills, including the ability to prioritize competing clinical, employee, \nadministrative, and compliance responsibilities.\n• Ability to analyze data, identify trends and risks, and develop practical \nrecommendations for program and service
