Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN ADN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC (must be from AHA) Must-Have: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: Join a dynamic Emergency Department team. Work in a level III trauma center offering state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital provides healthcare services including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation. It has a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. Enjoy a recognizable reputation for excellence in healthcare. Situated in a location with plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities such as hiking, kayaking, and sightseeing. The Emergency Department features a total of 48 beds, including flex space. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in the fast track. Your responsibilities will involve participating in team nursing and utilizing a pod system. A social worker is available for support in the department. The unit educator will provide resources and training as needed. The patient population includes those with conditions such as ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric needs. Common diagnoses include substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, abdominal pain, and chest pain. This position does not require floating to other units. The equipment used includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, Blood Warmer, and POC devices. EHR will be managed using a specified electronic health record system.
