Quick Facts Location: Topeka, KS Start Date: 10/05/2026 End Date: 04/05/2027 Shift: 12-hour shifts, guaranteed 36 hours/week Hours/week: 36 Employment Type: Contract Licensure: KS or Multistate license (no hits allowed) Experience: Minimum 1 year in progressive care/step-down unit Certifications: AHA BLS required Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $60.30/hr Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time per law Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team support throughout your assignment What You ll Do Provide high-quality, compassionate care to post-surgical patients on a 32-bed unit Monitor and assess patients recovering from abdominal, colorectal, urological, orthopedic, and plastic surgeries Administer medications, wound care, and surgical drain management Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized patient care Document patient progress accurately in Epic EMR Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols Assist with patient education and discharge planning What You Need Active Kansas or Multistate RN license (no hits allowed) Minimum 1-year recent experience in progressive care or step-down units BLS certification through AHA Strong bedside skills and excellent teamwork Flexibility to float to other post-surgical and med-surg units Willingness to start on 10/05/2026, with flexibility for orientation dates About the Assignment Join a reputable, high-reliability organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
