School Occupational Therapist | Middleburg, Florida

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in the North and West areas of Jacksonville, FL! This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 school year, with a schedule of 35 hours per week. You'll play an integral role in fostering student independence and development, collaborating closely with school teams across multiple sites in a dynamic, itinerant capacity.


Your focus will be on the school-aged population; specific caseload details will be provided ahead of assignment. This on-site role (not open to teletherapy) starts August 10, 2026, running through May 28, 2027. Actively interviewing on May 14th and 15th-applicants should confirm their availability for those dates.


Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Occupational Therapy license
• Experience providing OT services within school environments strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing itinerant schedules and working across multiple campuses
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, plan and implement therapeutic interventions for students
• Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in conjunction with educational teams
• Maintain detailed documentation and communicate progress to staff and families
• Travel between assigned schools, supporting staff and students as needed

Additional Requirements:

• Completion of fingerprint clearance (prior prints may be verified and accepted if available through the AHCA Clearinghouse)
• Willingness to obtain a JLA badge (may take up to 10 business days following clearance)
