Area Sales Director, Pacific Northwest Region

Ambry Genetics seeks an Area Sales Director to lead a team and drive laboratory diagnostic testing sales across the Pacific Northwest. The role involves managing Account Executives, developing sales strategies, expanding market penetration, and building relationships with healthcare providers to promote genetic diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team of 6-8 Account Executives through coaching and performance management
• Create and execute sales strategies for territory expansion and new customer acquisition
• Manage contract negotiations and customer relationships with hospitals, clinics, and physician offices
• Expand testing menu utilization within existing accounts and introduce new products
• Maintain competitive intelligence and adjust strategies to achieve regional sales goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years selling laboratory services to clinicians and hospitals
• 7+ years managerial experience in sales leadership
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms like Salesforce
• Demonstrated success selling complex laboratory testing portfolios
• Strong networking, relationship development, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel 50%+ across multi-state Pacific Northwest territory

Compensation: $150,000-$200,000 base plus uncapped sales incentive plan with $100,000 annual target
