Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director

As Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director at Drax, you will lead strategies that maximize efficiency, resilience, and sustainability across our energy generation assets and end-to-end value chain. You’ll oversee optimization of fuel sourcing, plant operations, logistics, and power sales, applying data-driven insights to reduce emissions and cost while enhancing reliability and profitability. Partnering with executive, engineering, trading, and supply chain leaders, you’ll shape investment priorities, direct cross-functional improvement initiatives, and develop KPIs that support Drax’s zero-carbon, lower-cost energy mission. This executive role demands strong commercial acumen, advanced analytics capability, and deep experience in energy or heavy industry transformation.
