Job Description
Job Title: RN - Bed Placement/Patient Placement - ICU

Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
License: RN license required
Certifications: BLS Certification required


Must-Have:
MUST have recent acute care experience.
MUST have experience with TeleTracking and Cerner.
MUST be strong in computers, with preference for experience using Zoom and Google applications.
MUST be able to multitask and possess good customer service skills.
MUST know the differences among various departments/units (e.g., MedSurg vs Tele).


Description:
This position has zero hands-on patient care.
The role involves placing patients in the appropriate units based on bed requests.
Critical thinking skills are needed to assess if bed requests are appropriate and communicate with leadership if necessary.
Responsibilities include managing multiple applications and screens during the placement process.
The position does not require providing recommendations, treatment plans, or diagnoses.


Additional Requirements:
Candidates must have limited to no requests for time off.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required based on staffing needs.
Orientation includes general hospital training and specific departmental training.
This role will operate in a fast-paced environment requiring effective communication and multitasking.
RTO needs to be very limited or nonexistent, and cancellation of shifts may occur.
