Job Title Locksmith I, CF Location 44750 60th Street West, Lancaster, CA 93536-7620 Responsibilities Under the direction of the Custody Captain, the Locksmith performs skilled work including installing, repairing, and maintaining cylinder and bit key locks, padlocks, opening locks, changing lock combinations, repairing or replacing tumblers, springs, and other parts, keeping records and inventories of keys, inspecting doors, doorknobs, and door strikes, and ordering and storing material for the Lock Shop. The Locksmith is responsible for maintaining the security of working areas and work materials, and for ensuring the safety of incarcerated people and property.
