Position Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager will provide leadership and oversight for inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, quality, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a collaborative pharmacy leader who is passionate about mentoring staff, improving medication workflows, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding areas while maintaining regulatory and quality control standards in accordance with USP guidelines and institutional safety protocols.
• Serve as chair of the Medication Safety Committee.
• Identify medication-related risks, analyze error data, and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the pharmacy technician team.
• Foster a collaborative culture focused on professional growth, high performance, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee daily medication distribution and inventory management.
• Optimize pharmacy workflows to provide seamless support to nursing and medical staff.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency required.
• Current pharmacist licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state.
• Minimum 3–5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience.
• Progressive leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Demonstrated expertise in sterile compounding regulations and medication safety practices.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams through operational change.

Salary:

• $121,700–$170,352 annually, heavily based on years of experience.
