Position Overview

Life Mission Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Oceanside, California. This full-time position plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to our patients in a hospital setting. You will collaborate closely with physical therapists to implement and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing rehabilitation outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our hospital facility located in the beautiful coastal city of Oceanside, California. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent routine that allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Implement Treatment Plans: Assist physical therapists by carrying out prescribed treatment plans which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities aimed at improving patients’ physical function and mobility.
• Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly assess and document patients’ progress towards their rehabilitation goals, adjusting exercises as needed to promote continual improvement and addressing any challenges that arise during treatment.
• Patient Education: Clearly explain the purpose and benefits of each therapeutic activity to patients, empowering them with knowledge to enhance their participation in their own recovery process.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work seamlessly with physical therapists, physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to share patient information, ensuring a cohesive approach to rehabilitation.
• Documentation: Maintain precise and thorough records of patient evaluations and treatment sessions to facilitate effective communication and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient-focused care model emphasizes individualized attention and a commitment to helping patients regain their independence and quality of life. You will be instrumental in creating an encouraging environment where patients feel motivated to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in California or eligibility to attain one.
• Strong dedication to patient care with a compassionate and customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients, family members, and the healthcare team.
• A keen attention to detail to ensure treatment protocols are followed accurately and effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic or outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or other therapeutic techniques are highly desirable.
• Prior experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems or specialized rehabilitation documentation tools is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Beyond competitive base salary, our benefits include:
